摘要:Tunable photonic and plasmonic devices have attracted enormous interest due to their emerging applications in image displays, sensors, smart and security materials. There are two types of tuning, including static and dynamic tuning. In this talk, I will focus on our recent progress on these two types of tuning with different topics across photonics and plasmonics. The core principle we applied to tune is based on the change of distance (on a nanoscale) between plasmonic components, or of the lattice distance between nanospheres, which can lead to the change in visual color. Such types of color-change materials can be used as photonic and plasmonic reporters for strains, temperature changes, solvents and thickness of thin films, etc, providing useful tools for both fundamental research and industrial applications.
报告人简介:丁涛博士/教授,现任职于武汉大学物理科学与技术学院, 他于2011年毕业中国科学院化学研究所获得理学博士学位。随后分别在新加坡南洋理工大学(2011-2013)和英国剑桥大学(2013-2017)开展博士后研究。丁涛博士长期从事光与物质相互作用规律的研究,从物理、化学、材料、工程等交叉学科的角度,研究光子学技术、材料以及器件方面的前沿问题。他的主要研究成果包括新型胶体光子晶体的构筑、压印光子晶体图案、表面等离子体激元调控以及光驱动纳米机器等,并以第一(含并列第一)或通讯作者在PNAS, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., ACS Nano等国际一流杂志发表论文30余篇。 曾受邀担任Adv. Mater., Adv. Opt. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Angew. Chem., Nanoscale等国际知名期刊审稿人。目前,他的研究领域包括胶体颗粒制备、自组装及其动态调控,可调节表面等离激元以及等离激元诱导化学反应等。
