报告摘要:
In this talk, I will present a brief introduction to the mechanism of electroweak baryogenesis as an experimentally testable framework for explaining the baryon asymmetry in the universe. With representative examples, I will illustrate the complementarity among the high energy frontier, low energy precision frontier and the cosmological frontier on the goal of searching for new physics effects. I will also discuss the production and experimental detection of gravitational waves generated during the electroweak phase transition, a subject currently drawing increasing attention since the first observation of gravitational waves in 2015 by the LIGO and Virgo collaborations.
