Polymer semiconductors are the only semiconductors which can be processed in solution. Electronic components made by these flexible materials have many advantages such as large-area solution process, low cost, and high performance. The number of researchers and companies dedicating their time and money to polymer electronics is increasing.
Conjugated polymers are a unique family of semiconductors that offer the advantages of high solubility, thin film formation in solution, and a wide range of crystallinity. They can, therefore, be used as active material for electronic as well as optoelectronic products with large areas and low cost.
报告人简介
Prof. Hsin-Fei Meng received the B.S. degree in physics from the National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, in 1993. Then he joined in Rockefeller University as postdoctoral research associate. From 1994, he joined the Institute of Physics, National Chiao Tung University, and is currently a Professor. His research interest has been in the area of condensed matter physics and organic semiconductor.
孟心飞教授致力于研究凝聚态物理理论、有机半导体理论及器件物理,尤其是有机发光二极管,有机聚合型场效应晶体管和聚合物太阳能电池。已发表超过140篇SCI论文,包括PRL, APL, PR A/B/E, ACS AMI等各数篇。
